Product Development Benefit Specialist- Product Development and Governance

Job Description:

Health First Careers is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Development Benefit Specialist to join our team in the Prod Developmnt and Governance department. This is a full-time position located in Rockledge, Florida - Brevard County, USA.

As a Product Development Benefit Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and managing health plan insurance products for our company. This includes conducting market research, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to create innovative and competitive products that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for new product development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and finance to develop product strategies and ensure alignment with company goals
• Develop and manage health plan insurance products, including pricing, benefits, and coverage options
• Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and make necessary adjustments to products
• Communicate product updates and changes to internal teams and external stakeholders
• Provide support and training to sales and customer service teams on product features and benefits
• Participate in product development meetings and provide insights and recommendations for product improvements
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date product documentation and records
• Other duties as assigned by the Prod Developmnt and Governance department.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in product development or management in the health insurance industry
• Strong understanding of health plan insurance products and market trends
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for health plan insurance products is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred in health care, business administration or a related field; OR 2 year’s experience in managed care or health insurance.
• PAHM certification (will be required during first year of employment).
• Knowledge of Medicare, Commercial and Individual coverage/guidelines in the HMO and PPO arena.
• Possess an understanding of Health First Health Plans product offerings.
• Knowledge of medical benefits, medical and dental terminology, and benefit plan application for Point of Service, HMO, PPO or Medicare plans.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others.
• Ability to understand benefit structuring in health plan applications.
• Ability to work tactfully and effectively with team members, vendor(s) and the user community.
• Highly organized, motivated, responsible self-starter, with excellent time management, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Advanced organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• General understanding of regulatory requirements as it relates to the health plan.
• Proficiency in use of standard machines and software common to most offices, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and personal computing skills. Must be able to accurately type 45/50 words per minute.
