As a Registered Nurse in our Surgical Services unit, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing patient needs and developing individualized care plans
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitoring patient vital signs and responding to any changes in condition
- Assisting surgeons during procedures and providing necessary support
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Educating patients and their families on post-operative care and discharge instructions
- Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Florida
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Operating Room setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Experience with electronic medical records systems preferred
