We are currently seeking an experienced, passionate, motivated Front Desk Medical Receptionist for our primary care clinic located in Tampa, FL. Candidates must have a passion for the health, wellness and overall well being of patients.

Position Overview:
The Front Desk Medical Receptionist is responsible for greeting the primary care patients and assisting them with checking them in and out for their appointment, scheduling all follow-up appointments, assisting them with answering any questions they may have about the charges or services performed. You must also feel comfortable speaking on the phone with other medical providers and insurance companies. You must possess excellent communication and customer service skills and be able to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Arrive promptly for shift.
- Ensure the smooth, effective operation of the front desk.
- Oversee patient check-in and check-out, rescheduling appointments and other administrative tasks.
- Maintain appointment book and maintain optimally efficient scheduling.
- Implement a healthy, effective level of communication between all staff.
- Acknowledge and cheerfully greet all patients upon their arrival and departure.
- Answer the front desk phone promptly.
- Utilize the computer and register with the necessary proficiency.
- Be willing to learn software needed to run the front desk computer system efficiently.
- Handle patients’ questions, concerns and occasional complaints with courtesy and professionalism.
- Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the medical practice.
- Work independently and assist in all areas of operation as requested by management.
Qualifications:
- Medical front desk experience strongly preferred
- Computer literate with Apple, Google Suite and Athena EMR
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task
- Must be able to be productive and efficient in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills—enthusiasm, friendliness, diplomacy
- Excellent communication, listening and computer skills
- Willingness to take on responsibility and embrace new challenges
- A demeanor that is approachable and confident
- Must possess basic math and money handling skills.
