Schedule Information
13 Weeks
Every other Weekend / Holiday
Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) : 0630-1830, 1830-0630 / / Self scheduling for core staff, travelers added in. Unable to guarantee block scheduling
Weekend Requirements : Every other
Holiday Requirements : Rotating based on weekend group
Floating Requirements : Typically to PCU, possibly to MedSurg
How many shifts of unit / department specific orientation? : 3 shifts
Unit Specific Information
of Beds : 33 beds
Average daily census is 16
Nurse : Patient Ratios : 1 : 2-3 for adults, 1 : 2-4 for Peds
Common diagnoses / Types of patients : sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, respiratory distress
Are RNs required to titrate drips? : Yes
Common titratable & / or set-rate drips : cardiac, insulin, sedation
RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) : Nasal cannula to vent
Tele / Monitor Techs : RNs required to read and interpret their own strips

Health Support Tech M-F 0800-1630
RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot? : Nasal cannula to vent
Are there Tele / Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors? : RNs required to read and interpret
Radius Rule : 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and / or Dignity.
RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
