Job Details
We are seeking experienced Night PCU RNs for our Nebraska/Iowa system.
- 12-hour shifts with guaranteed 36 hours of work per week
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a unit setting
Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of unit experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Schedule Information
Shifts: 0630-1830 and 1830-0630
- Weekend requirements: Every third weekend
- Holiday requirements: Rotating with permanent staff
- Floating requirements: Yes, to MedSurg or ICU to take PCU acuity patients
Unit Specific Information
Our unit is dedicated to serving diverse patient populations, primarily Hispanic and Somalian communities.

Additional Details
We require nurses to be flexible and willing to float and work when needed.
Common diagnoses include:
- Adult cardiac med/surg, dialysis, cancer diagnosis, vascular, sepsis, adult respiratory, stroke, post-stent, post-pacer placement, and renal failure
Nurses are required to titrate drips, including heparin, nitro, dopamine, cardizem, amiodarone, and insulin.
A charge nurse is present on each shift, and they do take assignments. Nurse aids/patient care techs are also available, with a ratio of 1:12.
High-flow RT equipment is used, and nurses are required to troubleshoot issues beyond simple maintenance.
