Job Role Summary
As a Fleet Mechanic with the Health and Hospital Corporation, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing various vehicles and equipment, including heavy dump trucks, RSVs, and Ford trucks and cars. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment is in safe working order, contributing to the overall efficiency of our public health operations.
A Day in the Life : In this dynamic role, you will engage in various tasks from performing routine maintenance and complex repairs to participating in public health emergency preparedness exercises. You'll work with gas and diesel engines, ensuring that all equipment-from light vehicles to heavy machinery-functions optimally.
Associated Job Duties
Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance (91%)
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all vehicles and equipment, including oil changes, brake jobs, tire repairs, engine overhauls, transmission replacements, and drive line component replacements.
- Conduct diagnostics and repair on hand-held equipment and document all repairs and changes made to vehicles and equipment.
