Health Images at Quail Crossing is looking to add a full-time CT / X-ray technologist to our team!
Position Pay Range $32.95 - $42.48 |Monday - Friday, 8 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM
Summary / Objective :
The CT / X-Ray Technologist performs various types of diagnostic X-Ray procedures and CT examinations. Adjusts equipment settings, determines proper voltage and exposure and positions patient. Performs specific procedures utilizing ionizing radiation and cross-sectional anatomical scans using proper technical factors and computer programs to provide image and numerical values of tissue density. Assists in assigned examination utilizing contrast media and / or specific tomographic examinations.
Essential Functions
- Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and / or exam to obtain the best possible image.
- Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and / or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
- Obtains prior films / exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
- Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
- Transfers images to other locations as needed.
- Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
- Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
- Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center / Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
- Other duties as assigned.
