Health Images is looking for a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to support our Denver and Aurora locations!
Position Pay Range - $41.20 - $53.13| We offer weekday and weekend shift differentials | We are targeting applicants who have obtained their RDMS and RVT registries.
Summary / Objective :
Performs ultrasound procedures to adult and pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and / or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders. Assists Radiologist during specialized exams to obtain images at a satisfactory level with minimal supervision.
Essential Functions
1. Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and / or exam to obtain the best possible image.
2. Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and / or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
3. Performs ultrasound scans and prints images while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
4. Assists Radiologist on specialized exams.
5. Transfers images to other locations as needed.
6. Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
7. Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
8. Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center / Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
9. Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervision responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in an environmentally controlled outpatient clinical environment. Potential exposure to radiation, which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Possible exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation and other conditions common to a medical office environment. Often requires work in cool, dimly lighted rooms.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience :
- Two plus years’ experience in Ultrasound- preferred
- Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed
- Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
- Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
- Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
- Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation
- Strong communication skills & professional demeanor
