Required Skills And Experience
- 2-3 years of experience
- Bachelor's degree required
- SHRM-CP credential required
- Possesses strong organizational skills
- Is knowledgeable of typical policies and procedures regarding benefit allocation
- Has experience in applicable payroll database programs
- Demonstrates effective communication skills, both orally and in writing, able to present information to a wide range of audiences
- Is detail oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet schedules and honor deadlines
- Proficient in applicable computer software applications, especially Microsoft and Adobe
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
Benefits/Human Resources
- Prepares and maintain employee files, assuring accuracy, compliance and confidentiality
- Reports any equal employment opportunity, racism, sexual harassment or discrimination to VP of Operations
- Assures compliance with COBRA guidelines
- Compiles statistical reports e.g., hires, transfers, appraisals, terminations, absenteeism rates, etc.
- Processes and maintains all employee status reports, disciplinary actions and pay changes
- Coordinates employee leaves, FMLA, Leave of Absence, short-term disability and long-term disability, etc.
- Assists with conducting new employee onboarding, benefits selection and orientation
- Administers and ensures completion of new employee background check and drug screenings
- Assists in administering benefits programs; life, medical, dental and disability insurance; 401 K, etc.
- Assists in ensuring compliance with all federal and state laws pertaining to benefits administration
- Coordinates open enrollment with insurance consultants and third-party administrators
- Assists in obtaining statistics and information in renewal process of any health, life and retirement plans
- Calculates and provides staff with annual benefit allowance
- Maintains detailed knowledge of all benefits and supports employees with all benefit inquiries
- Assists in preparing and communicating benefits information to staff on a regular basis
- Periodically reviews employee benefit programs
- Assists payroll manager with benefit deductions or additions in company payroll system
- Conducts regular payroll audits and reconciles third party carrier’s invoices
- Processes all Terminations/Off-boarding
- Assists Client Access Coordinator with supplying HR information for employees starting at new clients
- Assists Director of Recruitment and Retention, as well as Operations Support Specialist, as needed
- Maintains strict confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA guidelines
- Exhibits professional demeanor at all times
- Maintains communication by responding promptly to Corporate office staff
- Demonstrates flexibility, open mindedness, and versatility in adjusting to changing environments
