What Youll Do
- Yearlong fellowship preparing nurse practitioners for hospice and palliative care certification.
- Training through supervised clinical care in various settings, including hospitals and home care.
- Focus on symptom management, communication, and goal-setting for patients with serious illnesses.
- Clinical experience supplemented by didactic and project-based learning with an interdisciplinary team.
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in Maine or ability to obtain one.
- Preferred 2 years of recent NP experience and certification in adult care.
- DEA license for prescribing controlled substances.
- Full-time availability (40 hours/week) and willingness to travel to multiple clinical sites.
