Overview: Provides professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process for patients in an assigned unit, coordinating care with other disciplines under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse.
Responsibilities: The Staff RN in the GI Lab is accountable to the charge nurse or Surgery Manager, functioning as a GI procedures and/or recovery nurse. Responsibilities include assessing patients, ensuring quality care, communicating professionally, managing stress, understanding post-operative recovery, observing infection control, completing patient charges, and promoting safety. Must be available for on-call duties.
Qualifications: Required - Current RN Arkansas license, BLS certification, and ability to pass pharmacology test. Preferred - ACLS and PALS certification within one year, GI certification, and knowledge of GI Lab procedures. Must communicate effectively and attend required meetings.
