MEDICAL ASSISTANT

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a clinic setting.

This position requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and conducting basic laboratory tests and EKG's.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including updating chart medical history and medications.
• Provide support in managing patient care for various demographics, including geriatrics.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment and tracking inventory supplies.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of physiology and medical terminology.
• Experience and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR).
• Ability to provide compassionate patient care in outpatient setting.
• Proficiency in performing basic clinical tasks related to clinical procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and willingness to be a team positive player.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
