Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome clients and visitors in a warm and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries with accurate information.
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain the front desk calendar.
- Perform clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and proofreading documents.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages efficiently.
- Maintain an organized front desk area, ensuring all materials are stocked and accessible.
- Assist with customer support inquiries, providing solutions or directing them to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with other office staff to ensure smooth operations within the office environment.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a front desk or receptionist role, preferably in a medical, dental, or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and handling of sensitive patient information
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Familiarity with office equipment and basic computer systems (e.g., EMR/EHR systems, MS Office)
- Experience handling cash, credit card payments, and daily reconciliations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (if applicable)
- Familiarity with Allscripts
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday 0700-1500, there may be a situation where you'll come in at 0630 and can leave at 1430 to accommodate physician schedule.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
