Job Description
Join Health Plan Advocate and make a difference in people’s health! We act as an advocate for employers and their employees with their health insurance benefits. We are seeking a full-time Enrollment Specialist to work as part of our Pharmacy Savings team. This team provides services such as finding copay cards for members, connecting members with sources of non-profit prescription drug programs, and aiding members with interpreting their prescription drug benefit.
Your day will include office duties such as sending and receiving mail and faxes, maintaining member eligibility records, and processing referrals to our pharmacy partners. Your strong computer skills will be used in report review, processing incoming and outgoing mail, and maintaining client records. Your pharmacy knowledge will be used to assist in determining proper medication use and for covering for the Benefit Specialist during their absences.
Required Qualifications
· Experience working in a professional office setting
· Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, email, and internet
· Outgoing personality and strong interpersonal skills
· Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
· Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail
· Ability to prioritize and multitask
· Operating knowledge of office equipment: printers, scanners, etc.
· Able to communicate clearly, appropriately, and concisely in verbal and written formats
· Must follow HIPAA policies and procedures
· Must be a non-tobacco user
Preferred Qualifications
· Working knowledge of medical terminology and prescription drug pricing mechanisms
· One (1) year of retail pharmacy or PBM experience.
· Familiarity with employer-sponsored health insurance plans
· A desire to grow in the wellness and employee benefits industry
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
