Somers Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Group has been providing expert diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries in Carmel, Newburgh, Mount Kisco, Fishkill, New York, and Danbury, Connecticut. Somers Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Group physicians specialize in all aspects of orthopaedic care. Somers has partnered with HealthPlus Management, a Physician Support Organization, to provide best-in-class administrative support as they continue to expand their practice. HPM currently provides practice management services to 40 locations in NY, NJ and CT.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support clinicians in providing accurate and organized care
- Present as the friendly and resourceful face of a medical facility’s office
- Ensure efficient patient management processes
- Cultivate confident relationships with new and existing patients
- Act as a liaison between providers, patients, and staff
- Schedule appointments and coordinate tests for patients
- Record and organize patient medical records
- Facilitate capture of off-site operative reports
- Communicate proactively with patients, staff
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies
- Respond to requests from the public, and relaying messages to staff
- Completing insurance forms, authorization requests, process medical correspondence and reports, and performing other administrative duties
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Experience as an administrative assistant
- Knowledge of inventory management processes
- Familiarity with Athena EHR and Billing Platform
- Proven organizational skills
- Experience working in a collaborative environment
- Demonstrated commitment to patient care
- Knowledge of Healthcare insurance, authorizations, Woker's Compensation
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
