What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interpreter/Translator position at HEALTH PLUS TRANS?
HEALTH PLUS TRANS is a full-service interpretation company that provides services to a variety of clients, including healthcare companies, universities, and government agencies. We are looking for over 100 contractor Interpreters to join our team and provide our clients IN-PERSON interpretation services. We are looking for interpreters throughout the Indianapolis area. All languages and hearing impaired/sign language.
If you have the skill set of fluent English and fluent in your native language.
Responsibilities
- We are looking for in-person interpreters that fluently speak both English and another language that can cover a 60 mile radius from their home
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly tasks related to interpretation
- Provide prompt and accurate translations for a variety of different types of documents
- Maintain accurate records of all interpretations in our system so that you can easily refer back to your records to check on the status of your assigned jobs
- Answer questions from clients as needed to provide high-quality customer service
- Work closely with other team members to ensure the smooth running of the office and provide support as needed
- Be an active member of our team by taking on additional translation tasks as needed
- Develop professional relationships with all clients so that they can receive the best possible service from HEALTH PLUS TRANS
Languages currently in demand- Burmese (all dialects including Hakha Chin and Falam Chin), Pashto / Pashtu, Amharic, and Haitian Creole. We may accept Spanish interpreters, but the demand is not as high for Spanish at this time.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 40 per week
