Bear Mountain Healthcare is looking for an experienced, motivated and creative Director of Nursing (DON/DNS) in our Hanover NH location. The Director of Nursing (DON/DNS) is responsible for the clinical oversight, planning, quality, and supporting of the nursing services within the organization. The Director of Nursing ensures all Department of Health Regulations are adhered to. Compliance with All State and Federal Guidelines required. The position reports to the Facility Administrator.

Bear Mountain at Hanover Terrace is a 100 bed Skilled Nursing facility. We specialize in rehabilitation services and long term care. The goal of the Director of Nursing will be to continue to achieve optimal recovery and superior care for our residents, just minutes from Dartmouth hospital.

Job Duties:
Must be able to meet timelines and be able to multi-task. This candidate will also serve as coach, educator, and support for the nursing staff. The expectation that the Director of Nursing will lead by example. Must be able to work cooperatively with medical providers, other vendors and community and family members. Must be resident and family focused, with the goal of EXCELLENCE in resident care.
Requirements:
- RN License in the state required.
- At least two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in a long-term care facility, including geriatric and/or psychiatric nursing preferred.
- Must have demonstrated a mastery of good clinical nursing skills.
- Training in rehabilitation and restorative nursing care.
- Ability to incorporate all aspects of nursing in total resident care plan.
- Ability to organize, plan and supervise the nursing service departments.
- Computer knowledge and proficiency required.
- Must be fully vaccinated and follow infection control and Covid-19 protocols and precautions.
