Benefits and perks:
Job Summary
The WMNM oversees the direct clinical monitoring of all clients and nursing operations on our fastest-paced unit in San Francisco. They utilize the Nursing Process, Harm Reduction, and Trauma Responsive Care modalities in all actions taken to advocate for and support clients and they model this for their team across units. Supported by the Behavioral Health Directors of Nursing and Medicine, they positively adapt to volatility, uncertainty, change, and ambiguity to develop and lead an agile team in safe service delivery. They are responsible for the recruiting and onboarding of new nurses to the unit, consistently mentoring their team, and evaluating performance, at a minimum, annually. This can include, but is not limited to, the provision of complex MAT interventions, whereby continuous engagement with the clinical best practices of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) must translate into the most current nursing interventions.
The WMNM supports equitable and safe resource planning, for example, by collaborating with the Intake and Integrated Care Center MAT teams, and, especially, with the Behavioral Health Medical Director. By triaging the clinical presentation of clients experiencing SUD and evaluating whether their needs can be appropriately met in a Social Model milieu, they mitigate risk by making recommendations for placement at alternative assessment and diagnostic units, as needed. For those clients who are appropriate for our unit, yet have complex WM needs requiring longer treatment stays, they support collaboration with SFDPH Utilization Management teams in processing extended WM episode requests to capture accurate reimbursement. They will also mindfully plan staff schedules to ensure safe nurse-to-patient ratios and independently implement plans that mitigate unsafe staffing, working with the per diem pool and/or the Talent Acquisition teams, as needed, so that clients are supported by the right amount of care, at the right time.
The WMNM leads a team with fidelity towards HR360’s Strategic Plans. Organizational development initiatives must be prioritized and made comprehensible by the WMNM to their team for successful implementation at a ground level, as well as partnerships with Quality Improvement to operationalize and implement procedures that strengthen WM operations, either internally or in relationships with external stakeholders, and address health disparities. And other duties as assigned.

Must complete background check or livescan clearance.
We will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
