Job Description
Multilingual Learners (MLL) Coordinator / ELD Coordinator
Job Purpose:
To plan, organize, and implement a high-quality instructional program to support literacy development for students in grades 9-12. The MLL Coordinator will work closely with English Language Development Teachers to support multi-lingual learners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English Learner (EL) instruction, language acquisition, and program development, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment for all students.
Education-Based Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; and
• California Teaching Credential (recommended); and
• California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of second language acquisition theories, instructional practices, and assessment tools for MLs.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with multilingual learners in a K-12 educational setting.
• CPR Certification
