Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and documenting pertinent information.
- Coordinate with various departments within the clinic, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with both patients and staff.
- Support the operation of the clinic by managing appointment schedules and ensuring a clean, organized environment.
- Exhibit knowledge of physiology to assist in patient education regarding health conditions and treatments.
Requirements
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Behavioral Health background preferred
- Proficiency in medication administration and familiarity with clinic operations.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and systems relevant to patient care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare staff.
- Willingness to engage in continuous learning and professional development within the medical field.
