Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Provide medication management, including prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications.
- Perform triage assessments to determine the urgency of patient needs.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with ICD-9 coding standards.
- Utilize Athena for effective patient management and record-keeping.
- Stay updated on best practices in occupational health and mental health treatment modalities.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health issues.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with certification in psychiatry.
- Experience in medical documentation and familiarity with ICD-9 coding is preferred.
- Proficiency in using Athena or similar electronic health record systems.
- Strong clinical skills in triage and patient assessment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
