We’re growing and hiring a Quality Improvement Analyst/Educator, to join our Quality Improvement team of professionals at 41 Montebello Road in Pueblo.
What You’d Be Doing
In collaboration with the QI team, the Quality Improvement Analyst/Educator will be responsible for the quality improvement, data analysis to support Health Solutions’ vision, mission and strategic direction. This position reports directly to the VP of Quality Improvement/Project Management.
Specifically, Quality Improvement Analyst/Educator
- Supports and manages projects using agile framework, ensuring delivery and releases are within scope;
- Develops and coordinates a system for conducting technical reviews and audits of electronic clinical records to ensure appropriate service provision, documentation, and billing;
- Conducts general reviews to ensure that services provided conform to industry standards of care, Health Solution’s policies and procedures, applicable government laws and regulations, and the requirements of funding and payor sources;
- Participates in the review of billing activities according to the Colorado Uniform Service Coding Manual and payor rules;
- Provides education regarding best practices in coding and documentation according to the Colorado Uniform Service Coding Manual, Health Care Policy and Finance requirements, and the Behavioral Health Administration Requirements;
- Designs and submits identified daily, weekly, and quarterly reports of audits and reviews, using a variety of software tools;
- Develops interventions and action plans based on the results of audits and reviews to improve processes and practices;
- Advises the director of quality as needed regarding quality improvement needs in service delivery, documentation, and billing for mental health; and
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
What We’re Looking For—The Must-Haves
- A baccalaureate degree is required, Master's degree in Business administration or Behavioral Healthcare along with experience in health-related field preferred,
- Billing/coding is experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, general computer, and keyboarding skills are required, knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a plus.
- Must have the ability to sit for long periods conducting audits from electronic medical records and the ability to read a computer screen without obstructions from visual impairments.
- Strong organizational skills,
- The ability to evaluate written documentation and the capability to record findings is necessary.
- A valid Colorado driver's license and access to transportation during work hours are required.
