Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at a well-established Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Eugene, OR. This is a 13-week contract position with both day and evening shift options. The successful candidate will work closely with our residents to provide top-quality care in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily activities, including personal care, grooming, bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Provide mobility assistance, including helping residents in and out of beds, chairs, and wheelchairs.
- Administer medications as directed by nursing staff, ensuring proper documentation.
- Assist with rehabilitation exercises and therapies as part of the treatment plan.
- Report any changes in residents' health or behavior to the nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, adhering to infection control standards.
- Provide emotional support to residents and their families, ensuring a compassionate and respectful atmosphere.
Requirements:
- Active CNA certification in the state of Oregon.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- At least 1 year of experience as a CNA, preferably in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work with residents with varying levels of physical and mental abilities.
- Must be reliable, professional, and compassionate.
