Job Title: Part-time Cross Community Moderator of Online Health Communities
Location: Remote
Overview:
The Cross-Community Moderator “CCM” will be part of the Community Team at Health Union and work closely with the team to engage members of online health communities dedicated to specific health conditions, via proactively moderating the communities on Health Union’s social media profiles and websites.
To be successful, a CCM must be completely online savvy (Facebook, Wordpress) and exceptional at both participating in and listening to online conversations that are important to our community members. A CCM is responsible for implementing Health Union's online community moderation strategy and guidelines as well as reviewing and responding to user-generated content within websites’ forums, comments, and on social media such as Facebook.

- Ensure community members feel they are being heard

Qualifications
What You Bring:
- Experience in community management, online moderation, or related fields (health education, communications, counseling, social work, sociology, psychology, or related fields)
- Basic understanding of health/wellness and the ability to learn very basic background information about a variety of disease states.
- User of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
- Proactive in creating conversations and seeking innovative ways to connect
- Strong ability to manage multiple conversations via multiple platforms: social, blog, email, internal, etc.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Responsible, accountable and willing to go the extra mile
- Proactive, organized, able to empathize and communicate insights and recurring/big-picture issues to manager
- Team player, genuinely cares about people
- Bachelor's degree, or relevant experience preferred
Hours/Compensation:
- 7-19 hours per week - flexible hours
- $22/hour
