An aging, ill mother requires the support of a dedicated private caregiver who can offer her the personalized care she needs. Assisting with daily duties, providing companionship, administering prescriptions, and maintaining the older person's comfort and well-being should be the primary responsibilities of the ideal candidate.
Positions & Duties:
- Remind patients to take their medication exactly as prescribed.
- Make nutritious food and help with feeding if required.
- Be sure to keep track of any changes in vital signs, symptoms, or overall health status.
- To improve mental health, be a friend, have meaningful talks, and do things together.
- Help out around the house by doing simple tasks like washing dishes and doing laundry.
- Bring the elderly to their doctor's visits and help them communicate with their doctors.
- Stop accidents from happening and fix any safety problems you find to keep everyone safe.
- Lend a hand with exercises and mobility assistance.
- Ensure that loved ones are kept informed about the condition of the elderly person.
What is needed?
- Work history as a caregiver, preferably with the elderly or those with physical or mental disabilities.
- The ability to demonstrate basic caregiving skills.
- Show kindness and understanding towards those who are more senior.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- When faced with difficult situations, demonstrates patience and understanding.
- Ability to work independently while following directions to the letter.
