**Job Summary:**
As a Dietary Aide in our subacute rehab facility, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our patients receive nutritious and delicious meals that support their recovery. You will be responsible for meal preparation, adhering to dietary restrictions, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen area. Your culinary skills will directly impact our patients' well-being and overall experience during their stay.
**Responsibilities:**
- Prepare and assist as needed to cook a variety of meals, ensuring they meet dietary requirements and the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with the dietary team to plan meals that accommodate patients' specific nutritional needs and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels of food and kitchen supplies.
- Adhere to special dietary requests and restrictions, including allergen considerations.
- Work closely with the dietary team to ensure timely meal delivery to patients.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any special requests or concerns.
- Follow recipes, portion control guidelines, and presentation standards to ensure consistency in meal quality.
- Collaborate with the dietary team to evaluate and improve food service operations.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as a dietary aide in a healthcare or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and the ability to prepare meals that meet specific nutritional requirements.
- Strong culinary skills, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to accommodate changing dietary needs and meal schedules.
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school or relevant certification is a plus.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment.
