We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team in Memphis, MO. The ideal candidate will have strong general phlebotomy skills, experience with specialized blood collection methods, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. This role requires proficiency in collecting blood specimens by venipuncture, as well as performing clerical and receptionist duties related to laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect blood specimens through venipuncture and specialized collection methods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Meet expectations for minimal number of draws required and volume of tests performed.
- Order and process laboratory tests in compliance with established protocols.
- Perform clerical and receptionist duties, including maintaining accurate patient records and handling inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and laboratory safety standards.
- Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring patient comfort and professionalism during the collection process.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to support high-quality patient care.
Education & Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Successful completion of a phlebotomy course.
- At least 1 year of prior experience in a clinical, hospital, or laboratory setting.
- Strong knowledge of general phlebotomy techniques and laboratory test processing.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
