JOB SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Program Director, the Program Manager is responsible for the daily operations of site assigned and programs and grants that fall within their purview. The incumbent supervises and coordinates the staff in their duties, assists the Program Director in developing and maintaining service integration with available resources.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducts bi-weekly staff meeting and weekly clinical staffing.
- Supervises and assists staff in clinical matters and responsibilities.
- Conducts staff annual performance appraisals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Implements program goals.
- Manages day-to-day operations of SUD programming for a multidisciplinary team.
- Works within the allotted program budget.
- Oversees DUI services.
- Oversees and develops growth within the Broadview, Melrose Park and Bellwood SUD programs.
- Ensures that all grants operating under the site location are meeting scopes and deliverables as provided.
- Ensures that case files are maintained in accordance with agency and DASA standards.
- Ensures that monthly program census are accurate, meets projections and are submitted on a timely manner.
- Networks with current and prospective referral sources and other community agencies.
- Provides weekly, monthly and as needed, reports of activities to the Program Director.
- Maintains professional status.
- Complies with agency policies and procedures.
- Participates in agency fundraising efforts.
- Works evenings, covering groups/intake/assessments as needed, provides coverage when staff is out on PTO, and follows closing procedures of the building.
- Provides support as requested and needed to the Living Room staff and Outreach staff that work out of the Broadview location.
- Provides communication as needed to the Program Director and Program Manager regarding the Living Room and ensure coverage as need be.
- Participates in agency committee meetings as appropriate.
- Performs any other related duties as requested by the Program Director.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Must be familiar with DHS regulations (2060 & 2090), DMS-V, and ASAM placement criteria.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred, and present with cultural competencies.
- Knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Excellent supervisory skills (i.e., team building and coaching skills, with the ability to lead, encourage and train staff).
- Proficient in communicating accurately and effectively in both verbal and written correspondence, predominately English.
- Must be knowledgeable and able to utilize group dynamics.
- Flexible to adapt to schedules and workload to the needs and demands of the program.
- Possession of a valid State Driver’s License and willingness to use personal vehicle in course of employment.
- H.A.S. requires all staff to work onsite.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree in Human or Social Sciences, or Social Work or from a regionally accredited educational institution which has U.S. Department of Education approval, is preferred.
- Bachelors degree in Human or Social Sciences, or Social Work required.
- Must have at least two (2) years management experience in the substance abuse field.
- Must have clinical and training experience in substance abuse and behavioral health services and be familiar with a managed care environment.
- Must be IAODAPCA certified and maintain CADC active.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
