WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR – Job Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor directly supervises and coordinates the activities of the warehouse team members for their assigned areas.
Pay:
- $59,000 - $63,000 annual salary
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise assigned warehouse team.
Schedule:
- Day Shift, Monday-Friday, 7am-5:30pm
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Supervising warehouse staff and daily activities.
- Managing, evaluating, and reporting on warehouse productivity.
- Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
- Ordering supplies and maintaining suitable inventory levels.
- Checking orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.
- Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation.
- Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds.
- Coordinating and maintaining fleets and equipment.
- Communicating and coordinating with other departments and customers.
- Creating and maintaining safe work conditions and habits.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Work independently with little supervision.
- Communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of conventional management and warehousing fundamentals.
- Understanding of warehouse software application packages and MS356 proficiency.
- Highly efficient supervisory techniques and skills.
- Retrieve, analyze, and input data.
- Dedication to staff training and championing innovative ideas.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Education and Experience:
- Warehouse supervisory experience required.
- Proven experience in coordinating and directing operations required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Logistics, preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Very Heavy work: Lifting and carrying for a short distance up to 50 pounds constantly on your own & up to 100 pounds via team lift frequently.
- Standing: To remain on one’s feet in an upright position without moving about.
- Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another
- Stooping: Bending the body forward and down while bending the spine at the waist 45 degrees or more either over something below waist level or down towards an object on or near the ground
- Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly
- Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make fine discriminations in sound
- Vision: The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work
- Environment: The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
