Healthcare Coding and Consulting Services is a reputable healthcare coding and consulting company dedicated to providing accurate and efficient HIM services. We are currently seeking a Remote Part-Time Medical Biller to join our team. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in multiple billing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily billing of all payers and service lines
Proficiency in working with multiple claim software systems
Billing for both primary and secondary payers
Handling electronic and hard copy billing processes
Daily monitoring of claims for payments and posting of payments
Working on payer aging reports to maintain low accounts receivable (AR)
Problem-solving and troubleshooting issues related to billing
Education and Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of job-related experience
Prior experience in billing for Professional/Clinic and/or specialty billing preferred
Knowledge of Critical Access, FQHC, Rural Health, LTAC, Skilled, and/or Acute Care hospital billing
Strong understanding of Medicare and Medicaid guidelines, including modifiers
Familiarity with insurance companies, claims, and payment posting, including 1500 and UB04 billing experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency in MS Excel
Ability to work efficiently in multiple claim software systems
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in billing processes
