Job Summary
The Personal Care Aide (PCA) is responsible for assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), providing companionship, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. This role plays a vital part in improving the quality of life for those who require personal care assistance due to age, disability, or illness.
Key Responsibilitie s
Assist clients with daily personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
Provide mobility support, including transfers and ambulation assistance
Assist with meal preparation and feeding, following dietary guidelines
Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and maintaining a clean environment
Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities
Monitor and report changes in the client’s physical or mental health to supervisors
Follow individualized care plans and adhere to all company policies and procedures
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Certification as a Personal Care Aide (PCA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a plus but not required
Prior experience in personal care, healthcare, or a related field is beneficial but not required—training provided
Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients with mobility needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing quality care
Ability to pass a background check and meet health screening requirements
