Position & Client Overview :
Our client, a large pathology practice located in northern central California, is currently seeking a cytotechnologist to test in their busy anatomic pathology laboratory on the day shift.
This is an excellent opportunity to work for a pathology lab facility in the very low-cost-of-living Modesto area. This client offers the highest pay in the country with great benefits, relocation assistance, and sign-on bonuses.
Salary Range : $90,000-135,000

Job Summary :
Analyze fluid and tissue specimens for microscopic cellular abnormalities. Work closely with pathologists and independently.
Skill Requirements :
- Calibrate, operate, troubleshoot and maintain the equipment
- Dexterity and good hand-eye coordination are required to collect and prepare specimens
- Critical thinking skills to recognize problems and develop solutions or alternative approaches
- Lab safety and infection prevention is of paramount importance
- Handle pressure responsibility, often performing highly detailed microscopic work for long periods of time
