Responsibilities:
- Assist patients to exam rooms
- Obtain and document vital signs
- Record patient histories and chief complaints in the computer system
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures, including positioning, draping, shaving, and disinfecting treatment sites
- Assist with exams, perform visual acuities, and support invasive procedures
- Place leads and perform EKGs
- Conduct ear lavages, remove sutures or staples from superficial wounds
- Apply basic dressings
- Collect and label urine and stool specimens
- Draw blood and obtain other specimens as ordered by the provider
- Run all lab work
- Apply splints
- Collect and sterilize supplies, rooms, and equipment
- Prepare abscess and laceration trays, and supplies for pelvic exams
- Measure for crutches and provide crutch teaching
- Remain flexible for cross-training and occasionally take on tasks outside the normal scope of practice
- Observe, identify, and address needs to move the organization forward
- Perform other duties as needed to support our vision, mission, and values
Position Details:
Type: Part Time
Hours: 12-hour shifts
Salary: $13 & up/hour, depending on experience

The ideal candidate should possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong multitasking skills and a keen attention to detail. Patience and a caring heart are essential for delivering exceptional service, along with a comfort level using computers. Excellent customer service skills are a must, as is the ability to be thorough, courteous, and prioritize tasks effectively. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality is also a key aspect of this role.
