What are the responsibilities and job description for the Windows System Administrator position at Healthcare Fraud Shield?
** This position will require 1-2 days in office, initially, until this person is up to speed with our system, then will have the flexibility to work remote**
The Windows System Administrator maintains complex environments that requires hands-on deployment/maintenance and support and auditing/coordination of external vendors. The position must be capable of providing technical support and proactive service presence to our employees. The job will require the candidate to manage issues by setting expectations, implementing action plans and being available 24x7 for on-call rotation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for reviewing and monitoring logs, maintaining Windows servers, workstations and applications along with troubleshooting, researching and resolving hardware, software and network issues.
- Follow routine protocols and procedures for maintaining security across our environments.
- Maintain, monitor and report on security patches for all assets.
- Follow and document IT operations policies and procedures relating to all hardware, software and network equipment deployments.
- Must be confident and knowledgeable in making recommendations on hardware/software purchases to enhance the functionality of our clients.
- Comfortable providing technical support assistance to our users for help desk questions and issues.
- Assist with the deployment and maintenance of new and existing company servers
- Member of the Privacy Committee which has responsibility for the management of company’s Information Security Management Program (ISMP)
- Understands and complies with all company Privacy and Security standards
- Ensures that Information Technology deployments and changes follow compliance with the company Information Security Management Program (ISMP). Assists with the development of Information Security policy and procedure to ensure that it meets company goals including compliance with the HITRUST CSF.
- Performs security monitoring and auditing duties as required by IT Operations procedures.
- Reports to the IT Infrastructure Manager
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Windows Server experience (physical and virtual)
- Networking and security experience
- Scripting automation skills (PowerShell, Ansible, or other automation scripts)
- Microsoft Azure/Entra ID/O365/GPO experience
- Experience troubleshooting issues including reviewing logs in SIEM or log management tools to identify issues
- Ability to communicate effectively, on both a technical and non-technical level, with appropriate Agency staff at all levels, as well as with vendors.

REMOTE WORK REQUIREMENTS
- Must have high speed Internet (satellite is not allowed for this role) with a minimum speed of 25mbs download and 5mbs upload.
