SUMMARY :
This position is responsible for gaining hands-on experience within a boutique law firm specializing in healthcare law; working under pressure and is a team player.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Follows up on administrative appeals and documentation submitted to health insurers and governmental payers.
Works well with attorneys and paralegals.
Maintains workload.
Updates and maintains records.
Ensures compliance with procedures.
Maintains professional growth and development.
Is skilled, aggressive, cordial, and professional on the telephone to follow up on submitted appeals.
Performs any other administrative duties as may be necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Graduate or undergraduate degree.
Other skills required :
Student with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
Interest in healthcare and healthcare law preferred.
Highly organized, aggressive, outgoing, and detail-oriented.
Clear, concise, and logical writing style.
Highly attentive to detail.
Be able to handle large amounts of paperwork for a busy office.
Must have excellent organizational skills.
