What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st Shift Soil Sorter position at Healthcare Linen Services Group?
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the correct sorting of linen that has been placed on a moving conveyor belt in front of them. Picks up soil linen and places it in the corresponding sling/cart. Follows standard operating procedures. Must meet quality and production standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Be on time

- Be able to follow directions given by their team lead and supervisor

- Be able to work past the schedule, as production issues may arise
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/management
- Cross-train in other positions per production needs
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Be able to stand on feet up to 10 hours a day
- Sufficient manual dexterity to sort linen
- Must be able to meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, and pulling
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
