Flatwork Scale Operator

REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor 

PURPOSE: To provide quality service and products to our customers in a timely and professional manner.  

JOB SUMMARY: Work in various checking department stations. Duties include Removing stacks of linen from the conveyor and placing them into carts for in-house stock and customer orders. Packing orders into carts from in-house stock. Using the computer system to check out orders and ensure accuracy. Staging completed orders in proper area to be loaded onto the trucks. Follow standard operating procedures. Must meet quality and production standards.

• Be able to speak, read and write the English language 
• Follow all company safety rules 
• Be able to work well with a diverse workforce
• Be able to follow directions given by their team lead and supervisor
• Follow all company policies and procedures 
• Possess and maintain a positive attitude
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area in line with company policies
• Be able to work past the schedule, as production issues may arise
• Perform any other duties as supervisor/manager sees fit

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Cross-train in other positions per production needs  

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  

• Be able to stand on feet up to 10 hours a day
• Be able to push/pull linen carts up to 800 lbs. (on wheels)
• Be able to lift up to 40 lbs
• Be able to operate computer system/printer
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending and twisting
