Maintenance Mechanic

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, computer operation and preventive maintenance service.  

• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs. 
• Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of problems found during trouble shooting.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service 
• Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules. .
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed. 

Minimum Requirements: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Technical training; exposure to processing machinery 
• 2 years of related experience in machinery trouble shooting and maintenance
• Able to work varied shifts and days
• Experience in a commercial laundry desirable but not required
• Ability to work in team atmospheres

• Ability to hear, with or without corrective devices.
• Ability to twist upper body left and right
• Ability to grasp items with fingers
• Ability to push a weighted cart with a maximum 35 pound push/pull measurement
• Ability to operate all relevant equipment after training is provided. 
• Able to work in heat
