What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Janitor position at Healthcare Linen Services Group?
PURPOSE: 3rd shift Operator/Janitor Assisting the maintenance team, specifically focusing on Tunnels and Dryer lines. To maintain the cleanliness of tunnels and dryer lines. Assist janitorial staff when needed
JOB SUMMARY: Perform operator duties which include but are not limited to: Resetting minor faults, inform on duty mechanic immediately of any major issues, clear any linen jammed at press and dryer lines, daily blowdown of dryer lines, cleaning of lint collectors for dryer lines daily. Maintains the cleanliness of the plant, Keeps the entire facility as lint free and clean as possible. Follows standard operating procedures. Must meet quality standards.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Be on time
• Have excellent attendance
• Meet established cleaning procedures
• Follow all company safety rules
• Be able to work well with a diverse workforce
• Be able to follow directions given by their team lead and supervisor
• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Possess and maintain a positive attitude
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area in line with company policies
• Be able to work past the schedule, as production issues may arise
• Perform any other duties as supervisor/manager sees fit
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Cross-train in other positions per production needs
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Be able to stand on feet up to 12 hours a day
• Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, and pulling
