Healthcare Nursing Center -
The Central Supply Coordinator assists all staff members in ensuring all areas are adequately supplied 24 hours a day, with the necessary supplies to provide quality patient care. Is responsible for monitoring and reconciling supplies to all nursing units and other departments as needed. In addition is responsible for maintaining an adequate inventory of all necessary goods and materials in each nursing unit and in the main supply area. We are an equal-opportunity employer.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Frequent rounds to all nursing units to evaluate nursing supplies.
Performs inventory on said units weekly.
Inventory and supply all nursing units with stock medications and syringes.
Purchases, maintains, and distributes all forms needed, to the nursing units.
Under the direction of Director of Nursing complete necessary purchase orders and places orders with vendors.
Receives and reconciles all purchase orders, packing slips and invoices. Discrepancies to be brought to the attention of Director of Nursing and Administrator.
Weekly inventory of Central Supply.
Keeps Central Supply Room in order with everything kept off the floor.
Types policies.
Removes all old policies and replaces them with new ones.
Types forms.
Inputs information to the computer.
Monitors wheelchairs owned by facility.
Monitors wheelchairs owned by facility.
Monitors Suction Machines owned by facility.
Trains Central Supply Coordinator at sister facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduate or equivalent.
Long Term Care experience preferred.
