Long Term Care Facility is seeking to hire a Director of Nursing who is ready for growth and opportunities!
The primary purpose of this position is to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operations of our Nursing Services Department in accordance with federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator and Medical Director, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long term care. Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with personnel. Must determine the staffing needs of the nursing services department to meet the needs of the residents and make daily rounds.
Requirements:
- Current RN license in State
- Long- Term Care Experience
- Supervisory/Management Skills
- Knowledge of State and Federal Guidelines
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee all nursing personnel
- Develop and implement resident care services
- Perform administrative duties such as, preparing reports, implementing a budget, scheduling and etc.
- Ensuring staff is following proper nursing procedures, laws and work standards
- Good written and oral communication skills
