Rehabilitation Manager
Job Summary:
The Rehabilitation Manager will plan, administer, and direct operation of rehabilitation programs such as physical, occupational, and speech therapies within assigned facilities.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Works with department heads to develop short- and long-range plans and goals aimed at providing quality patient care.
- Plans department staffing on basis of census, patient acuity and productivity standards.
- Works with the human resource department regarding management of time clock utilization, attendance, status changes, policies and procedures and yearly compliance training.
- Approves and submits mileage/expense reimbursements for therapists within designated timeframe for accurate payroll processing,
- Works with department heads to develop interdepartmental training programs for staff (i.e. gait belt training, transfer training, etc).
- Works with department heads and interdepartmental teams by participating in care plans, morning meetings, weekly Medicare meetings, weekly MDS huddle and safety meetings pertaining to therapy.
- Provide 50% of daily productivity with patient treatment according to the resident’s plan of care.
- Maintain productivity standards for self and staff, complete weekly therapy report, manage projections and schedules, maintain appropriate screenings and services for long term care residents, plan and schedule day 1 evaluations for skilled residents, complete and turn in timely managed care weekly updates, weekly therapy meeting, complete weekly and monthly closeouts for billing and manage and maintain therapy equipment and gym cleanliness including proper sanitation standards.

- Thorough understanding of health and safety laws.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated organizational ability.
- Paycor experience, preferred.
Education and Experience:
- State license and degree in required state for either SLP, OTR, PT, COTA or PTA.
