We are seeking an experienced Food Service Director to join our team in providing exceptional dining experience for our residents in our long-term care facility in Hazel, NY. The Food Service Director will oversee all aspects of the dietary department, ensuring high-quality food service, adherence to dietary regulations, and overall resident satisfaction.
Food Service Director Key Duties:
- Assure compliance with Local, State and Federal requirements and laws regarding nutrition, sanitation, and safety regulations.
- Ensure the food service operates within established budgetary guidelines.
- Monitor food control systems such as food temperatures, portion control, preparation methods, garnishment, and presentation of food to ensure that food is to physician's diet orders before delivery.
- Knowledge of local, State, Federal regulations, and survey inspection process.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate dietary staff, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, as well as regulatory compliance.
- Oversee the overall sanitation and cleaning of the kitchen, storage and dining areas, and equipment.
- Performs other job-related duties.
Food Service Director Qualifications:
- Certified Food Manager or have an equivalent certification degree along with Servsafe certification. Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification a plus.
- Minimum 2-4 years managing food service department in long term care facility or healthcare setting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work effectively in a challenging environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and food service management software.
