What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduler position at Healthcare Nursing Center?
Scheduler Responsibilities:
- Schedule nursing staff in coordination with Director of Nursing or designee to meet the needs of the patients and facility.
- Communicate the staffing schedule to staff on a timely basis.
- Fill any vacant shifts through coordination with staff.
- Ensuring schedules are up to date for Direct Care Staff.
- Preparing and posting daily assignment sheets.
- Daily attendance tracking.
- Other duties as needed.
Scheduler Requirements:
- Minimum one year experience with scheduling staff, preferably in a medical setting.
- Long Term Care experience is preferred.
- Organized, detail-oriented, computer proficiency, and being able to multi-task.
- Successful completion of a training and competency evaluation program required.
- Completion of orientation required by company policy.
- Health screening and TB test (if required) within two weeks of employment.
- Mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire.
- Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check.
- Become familiar with and comply to all local, state, and federal regulations relating to the job.
- Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.
