Position: Director of Environmental Services
Location: Staten Island, NY
Shift: Full-Time, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Salary: $70k - $80k (depending on experience)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Environmental Services to lead our housekeeping department at a skilled nursing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and comfort throughout the facility.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, and implement housekeeping programs, policies, and procedures.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate housekeeping staff in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure high standards of cleanliness and quality control.
• Collaborate with other departments such as Dietary, Nursing, and Activities to coordinate services.
• Maintain and update housekeeping policies and job descriptions annually.
• Report on housekeeping department activities, accidents, and incidents to the Administrator.
• Assist in identifying infection control concerns and ensure proper handling of cleaning tasks involving potential exposure to hazardous materials.
• Participate in facility inspections by government agencies and help develop corrective action plans.
• Stay current with economic conditions and recommend adjustments to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Director of Environmental Services in a skilled nursing facility.
