Position : Director of Environmental Services
Location : Staten Island, NY
Shift : Full-Time, 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 00 PM
Salary : $70k - $80k (depending on experience)
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Environmental Services to lead our housekeeping department at a skilled nursing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and comfort throughout the facility.
Responsibilities :
- Plan, develop, and implement housekeeping programs, policies, and procedures.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate housekeeping staff in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure high standards of cleanliness and quality control.
- Collaborate with other departments such as Dietary, Nursing, and Activities to coordinate services.
- Maintain and update housekeeping policies and job descriptions annually.
- Report on housekeeping department activities, accidents, and incidents to the Administrator.
- Assist in identifying infection control concerns and ensure proper handling of cleaning tasks involving potential exposure to hazardous materials.
- Participate in facility inspections by government agencies and help develop corrective action plans.
- Stay current with economic conditions and recommend adjustments to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the environment.
