What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Accounting Officer position at Healthcare Outcomes Performance?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Oversee the monthly financial close process and ensure accurate financial statements are produced in a timely manner.
- Provide direct supervision for the lease and fixed asset accounting functions.
- Directly manage accounting personnel, including General Ledger Accounting, Transactional Accounting (AP / AR), Payroll, Tax, Finance and Accounting Systems, and Financial Reporting.
- Own all accounting integration planning and execution for new acquisitions, including converting new practices to standard HOPCo accounting policies, procedures, systems, and workflows.
- Ensure compliance with all established accounting policies and procedures.
- Design and maintain a system of fixed asset accounting and provide support and oversight to the fixed asset accounting function.
- Partner with the finance team to develop capex reporting.
- Lead the company’s effort to install and activate new processes and accounting solutions.
- Document and implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Develop robust monthly account reconciliation rhythms and month-over-month flux analyses.
- Serve as the company’s point of contact and coordinator with independent auditors and corporate tax return accountants.
- Create and book all purchase price accounting entries and opening balance sheet entries for new acquisitions.
- Oversee the treasury operations of the company.
