Our company is seeking a full-time Collections Consultant to work on our Hospice Team . The ideal candidate for this job has a minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial and Medicaid claims follow-up and collections with excellent time management skills.
Responsibilities & Expectations :
- Perform claim collections for multiple hospice providers.
- Track trending issues such as reoccurring denials, payment variances, and payer processing delays.
- Communication with hospice providers regarding collection concerns and trends.
- Experience with multiple EMR systems.
- Experience with Medicaid and Medicaid room and board collections required.
- Review payer remittance advices and explanation of benefits to identify payment errors, denials and low reimbursement.
- Identify and correct claim errors in clearinghouse and EMR systems.
- Make phone calls and utilize various payer on-line portals for claim follow up.
