Job Summary
We are seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our interdisciplinary team at a long-term care facility. As a Dietitian Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing nutritional services and collaborating with healthcare professionals to improve resident outcomes.
Main Responsibilities
- Assess residents' nutritional needs and develop individualized meal plans that meet their dietary requirements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines related to nutrition care.
- Monitor and document residents' nutritional status and progress.
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to residents, families, and staff.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to identify opportunities for improving resident health and well-being.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Hold a valid certification/ license in good standing within the state of practice.
- Knowledge of state survey process and compliance with nutrition care regulations is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
