Job Summary:
The SEC Reporting Manager will oversee the preparation and filing of SEC reports, manage financial statement data collection, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires strong technical accounting skills and experience with SEC filings.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file SEC reports, including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, proxy statements, and other required or ad-hoc filings.
- Oversee financial statement data collection, consolidation, and XBRL updates, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct research on new SEC regulations, GAAP updates, and other technical accounting matters; present key findings to accounting leadership.
- Manage the preparation and submission of statutory financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations for assigned areas, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls, ensuring all area-specific controls are performed and documented.
- Coordinate audit processes, including compiling audit documentation, responding to auditor sample requests, and ensuring proper internal control documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
- 5 years of experience in public accounting or within a SEC or financial reporting department.
- CPA license highly preferred or a willingness to pursue CPA certification is required.
- Prior experience or familiarity with SEC filings is ideal.
- Experience with W-Desk/Workiva is a plus.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
