Role Overview
The Radiologist Advisor will play a key role in evaluating investment opportunities, conducting clinical due diligence, and advising healthcare startups on radiology-related innovations. The Radiologist will assess emerging imaging technologies, AI-driven diagnostics, tele-radiology platforms, and workflow optimization tools, ensuring they align with real-world radiology practice and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Due Diligence & Market Evaluation
- Evaluate clinical viability, accuracy, and scalability of radiology-focused innovations.
- Assess AI-driven radiology tools, advanced imaging modalities, workflow automation solutions, and tele-radiology platforms.
- Analyze the regulatory landscape (FDA, CMS, HIPAA, DICOM standards, CPT coding, and reimbursement models) for radiology innovations.
- Provide risk assessment and feasibility analysis for startups developing new imaging techniques, radiology software, and diagnostic tools.
- Offer clinical expertise to portfolio companies developing radiology-focused solutions, including AI-powered radiology interpretations, cloud-based PACS, machine learning algorithms for imaging, and next-generation radiology equipment.
- Advise on reimbursement models, payer integration, and regulatory challenges specific to radiology technologies.
- Support radiology startups in developing clinical trial strategies, physician adoption plans, and hospital system partnerships.
- Assist in recruiting radiologist key opinion leaders (KOLs) and establishing medical advisory boards for radiology-focused startups.
- Stay ahead of emerging trends in radiology, including AI in medical imaging, radiomics, 3D imaging, and cloud-based radiology solutions.
- Represent the firm at radiology investment summits, RSNA conferences, and industry panels focused on radiology innovation.
- Engage with radiologists, imaging centers, AI researchers, healthcare executives, and policymakers to expand the firm's presence in radiology-focused venture capital.
- Board-certified Radiologist (MD or DO) with clinical experience in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, neuroradiology, or subspecialty imaging.
- Strong knowledge of radiology reimbursement models, imaging workflow challenges, and regulatory considerations in medical imaging.
- Experience with healthcare startups, tele-radiology platforms, AI-driven imaging, or venture capital is a plus.
- Analytical skills for evaluating radiology-focused clinical data, business models, and technology platforms.
- Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between radiologists, investors, and healthcare entrepreneurs.
